Ahhh, the sweet smell of the country!

OR the middle of no-where!

Saturday we took a drive out to Dayton, Idaho. It is near Preston (Napoleon Dynamite) Mark's brother and his family will be moving there (to Dayton) when they sell their home in Sweet, Idaho. Mark's brother Matt is going to start up a Boys Ranch there. It's a beautiful, quiet area, full of mountains and hills, rivers and trees. Rachel got bored quick but made friends with a horse. Whitney caught 3 big fish but I didn't get a pic of that so you'll just have to believe Mark on that one. Scotty & Jake caught a few too. We stopped at the Pepperidge farms factory and got cookies and goldfish and on the way home we stopped at Casper's ice cream factory for some great cool treats. It was a pretty drive but a long HOT day.

1st Camp trip

We wanted to try out the new tent trailer so we decided to go somewhere close to check it all out. We went to Willard Bay. The campground is nice and all..hook-ups work, bathroom fairly clean. BUT the noise! FREAK...we weren't even thinking about the freeway being 30 yards away! And the train passing through in the night too! The kids had fun though, except maybe Ray. She sat around a lot with her foot elevated and listened to her iPod. We went to the beach and found shells and the kids swam. It was nice weather and a fun experience. so here's few pics of our camping trip. I forgot to take a pic of our campsite...

Rachel's FOOT Surgery

Friday at 6AM Rachel went in for foot surgery. She now has 3 screws in her ankle and a sore hip from where they had to get some extra bone in forming her an arch on her foot. She did really well and is home recovering and sleeping, resting, etc. She had "official" crutch training at the hospital and she's getting pretty good. She will have to use them for 8 weeks. She isn't suppose to put any weight on her new foot for 8 weeks. We will go to the doc in a few weeks to check how it is healing. She will probably have surgery on the left foot later this fall. Thanks for all your prayers. She is doing well.

THANK YOU! Mr. President Bush!

Mark has been wanting to get a camper of some kind for the kids...He found a nice tent trailer in Meridian, Idaho so he drove down last weekend to pick it up. It's nothing fancy but the kids love it! We've had things keeping us here so we haven't taken a "camping" trip yet but hopefully soon! Kids have slept in it a few nights though in the back yard!! It pays having 5 kids when the George Bush stimulus check came! I guess getting new carpet can wait until next year's tax return!
