Kids Safety Fair

There was a Kids Safety Fair at the Weber County fairgrounds this past weekend. I took Jake, Scotty & Macee. They had a lot of things to learn and see. It was great fun! Jake and Scotty got to hold a Burmese Python but I didn't get a pic because Macee made me take her away from the "scary BIG snakes"

Bits and Pieces

People. People important to you, people unimportant to you cross your life, touch it with love and carelessness and move on. There are people who leave you and breathe a sigh of relief and wonder why you ever came in contact with them. There are people who leave you and breathe a sigh of remorse and wonder why they had to go away and leave such a gaping hole. Children leave parents. Friends leave friends. Aquaintances move on. People change homes. People grow apart. Enemies hate and move on. You think on the many whom have moved into your hazy memory, you look on those present and wonder.

I believe that God has a master plan in lives. He moves people in and out of each other's lives and each leaves his or her mark on the other. And you find that you are made up of bits and pieces of those who ever touched your lives and you are more because of it and you would be less if they had not touched you.

Pray to God that you accept the bits and pieces in wonder and humility, and never question and never regret.

Rachel is on the radio!

Every Tuesday night Rachel co-hosts a radio show at 88.1 Weber FM. It is the radio station for Weber State University. They do a show from 8-10pm where they interview local bands and hear their new music! She's finally found her voice! She does a great job! Thanks Gillis for getting her hooked up!!

Easter/General Conference weekend cont...

The greatest thing about this Easter weekend is that we had the opportunity to listen to General Conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. What great messages we heard and the Spirit of the Lord was felt in abundance.

One of my favorite messages was from President Dieter F. Uchtdorf... he said, " Love is the great motivator for the plan of salvation."

Our beloved prophet President Thomas S. Monson spoke of love and faith.

I know that Jesus Christ is the savior of the world. I'm so glad that I have the gospel in my life. I am so thankful for the blessings of hearing the prophet and apostles of the Lord Jesus Christ in these latter days.

Ray had the opportunity to attend the Roy Jr. Prom with a friend. She borrowed this fabulous dress from my friend Laura! Isn't she sparkly!

This spring Rachel went with Patrick to Morgan High School's prom.

Scotty's field trip

Scotty went on a fun field trip to the Environmental Center which is up in the mountains somewhere by Wolf Mountain..up the Ogden canyon. Mark also went! They learned to cross-country ski and also snow shoe!!! Scotty had a blast and perfect weather!!!

Happy 13th B-day Whit!

Whitney is officially a teenager now! Ahhh, I have 3 of them!!!!

Whitney went with a friend over the weekend to Island Park so we didn't do a party. She had a GREAT time and a great way to spend her birthday!

Mark had 4 wisdom teeth removed the other day...I guess I'm the wisest now....since I only had 2 wisdom teeth removed! check out these pictures! (posted with his approval of course)

Scotty was "speed skating at the Olympics" and his socks were so slippery that he ran right into the corner of the cabinet in the kitchen. After the bleeding stopped and we took a peek we saw some cuts and a big FAT lip! Poor guy....He was very brave and he didn't get stitches. The day after it looks better, except for the fat lip...might take longer for that to go down.

Not a whole lot going on lately...just keeping busy helping with kids homework, field trips, scouts. etc. I don't have any new pictures. I need to remember to take my camera! Scotty earned his Bear class at the Blue & Gold Cub Scout banquet.

Some wonderful recent news is that the Ogden Temple will be getting a "face-lift"! It will start at the end of the year and take 18-24 months! It will add so much more to our downtown area. Ogden has been slowly transforming back into a great place. Downtown has so much to offer....with a new Megaplex theater, Flo-rider, iFly, climbing wall, Fat Cats, Tree House Museum, so much more! Great places to go for fun! The Temple "make-over" announcememt was a great surprise to all!!! See the story on KSL news. (SEE OTHER POST)
