Cub Scout-Pinewood Derby 2010!

Every year Mark gets excited for the Pinewood Derby. Oh yeah..Scotty too. Mark likes to make a car and/or truck for himself as well. This year he went with the great logo of BOISE STATE. (SINCE THEY ARE #1!!!!) He made himself a BSU truck and Scotty's car (Mark cut out, Scotty painted..most of it)

Mark raced a few of his cars from years back because they needed to fill all the tracks. They raced well too. Scotty's "Blue & Orange Bronco" got 2nd place overall. He was happy.

Glad it's over...time to clean the garage again..sweep up the sawdust, put away the paints and save the rest of the tube of graphite for next year!

Sledding!

Rohmer park in Washington Terrace (South Ogden area) has a fabulous sledding hill! It was packed full of excited sledders and tubers today! Check out the 2 short videos after the pictures!

Ogden's Holiday light Parade

Well, since we weren't in Idaho for Thanksgiving weekend we got to attend the parade in Ogden. Actually just Mark, Scotty, Macee, and I. The older kids were off with friends and think they are "too old" for parades anyway. All the floats were decorated with Christmas lights. It was fun...kinda chilly but fun to go. We brought hot chocolate but it didn't last long. AND the pictures aren't very good either. We need a new camera for Christmas (hint, hint santa!)

Rachel's 3rd foot surgery (hopefully the last!)

Last week Rachel went in for her 3rd foot surgery. The left foot needed the hardware (3 giant screws) removed and her right foot needed some repair from the surgery before back in June of 2008. Her right foot had been hurting a lot and so the doc said some bone had grown over and was prolly the cause of the pain so he fixed that. This time she didn't have a HUGE boot cast or wrapping. It was hard to walk for a few days though as both feet were cut open at some point! She has such freakish scars...

Halloween!!!

Halloween was GREAT fun this year. We had a beautiful sunny day to enjoy before dark. Then it did get a bit chilly but it could have been worse...no snow is good :)

Pumpkin Walk!

Last week we decided to venture up to North Logan for the Pumpkin Walk. It is quite amazing what scenes folks can creat out of pumpkins! This year's theme was TV commercials. We saw some really awesome scenes! Whitney--"Where the Wild Things Are"(above) Rachel kickin it with cuz Gavin (below)
